We are just ending a perfect 4 day vacation to Park City, Utah, with our whole gang. For Jenny, this was a work trip to work a conference on Saturday, and when Marc found out about it, he wanted to tag along. He has some great friends from college who live in Park City and figured he could visit with friends while Jenny worked.
Since Jenny covers all of Utah and Wyoming in addition to Colorado, we drove out, with Jenny stopping in at clinics in Cheyenne, Laramie, and Rock Springs on Thursday. Then Friday, she worked down in Salt Lake and Ogden, and Saturday the conference in Park City. While Jenny was pounding pavement, Marc was able to take the dogs on long runs, meet up with his friends, and just generally enjoy Park City. The proximity to all the off-leash trails was fabulous. Jenny was able to join in for some runs with the pups after work each day too. Marc’s friends even showed us a dog park that had agility equipment in one area and a lake with a jumping dock on the other. Our little otter, Halo, was in absolute heaven. We had to practically drag her out each night, worried that she shouldn’t spend too much time in the cold water (it is September after all!) Guess it’s like they say…you can take the girl out of Fargo, but you can’t take the Fargo out of the girl!
The best part about Marc getting to take the dogs on multiple hikes and escapades throughout the day? The dogs were beat by 7:00 each night, meaning we could enjoy some pretty fabulous dinners in this magical town each night! Park City, we will definitely be back! And kudos to the Park Hyatt for being such a dog friendly hotel!
