Seriously, SERIOUSLY, excited! We opted to skip the dog show in Grand Island, Nebraska this weekend to do some agility with Karma. So happy with our decision as we accomplished a feat we weren’t sure we would ever be able to do — win the 20” Master class!
Of course, it would be one of the few times we didn’t get someone to film our run, shoot! But it was a pretty fast course, culminating with a box you had to go through 3 times, and handle the series differently each time. It was tight and twisty, AND called for some handling. After Karma cleared that last jump, there were some pretty loud cheers, so we knew everyone else thought we smoked the course too. When the results sheets were posted, Jenny was so excited — our first blue ribbon!
And with such a screaming course time it got Jenny thinking — getting Karma in the Top 20 for agility is on the goal list and while we have pretty much equally split time between conformation and agility, Jenny thought it was worth checking. While Karma hasn’t quite cracked the Top 20, we are thrilled that she is ranked #22 — and mostly with Jumpers Qs too. (For those that don’t know you usually get twice as many points for standard Qs than jumpers Qs.) Also, another milestone this weekend; the 11 MACH points Karma picked up with her jumpers run took her to 700 MACH points. Just 50 more to have all the points needed for MACH 🙂
Ok, now really the next thing we are doing will be in California. Nationals extravaganza, here we come!
