Whew! We are beat! This weekend was the Long’s Peak Dog Training Club’s agility trial and Jenny was the trial chair. Thankfully, the club has many worker bees and many hands made the trial work light! We also had the opportunity to run under Alan Arthur again. We ran under him at Westminster back in February and Jenny really wanted to get him out to Colorado. He was so nice and created a wonderful trial atmosphere — any agility clubs looking for a judge should check him out!
Karma was fantastic this weekend too. Saturday, she would have had a QQ if it weren’t for a trampoline style table fault. But she rocked jumpers and picked up 12 MACH points and a 3rd place ribbon. After the last novice class the club took the judge to dinner and then instead of having to drive all the way to Denver, we were invited to stay at Katherine & Dale’s house which is about 5 minutes from the trial site. We had so much fun!! Karma decided she is in LOVE with Barsoom, K & D’s youngest male. The two of them were inseparable all night, flirting, playing tug, following each other around. It was pretty cute.
And today we were able to nail down a QQ! Karma picked up another 3rd place in Jumpers with 13 MACH points and a 4th in Standard with 21 MACH points! Always nice to walk with a QQ when you’ve put so much work into an event…and the placements are icing on the cake!
After the trial we brought Alan back to Denver in preparation for his flight tomorrow morning, but not before grabbing some pizza! And yes, Karma got some leftover pepperoni!
