Since Karma is such a rockstar and finished her MACH in September, we wanted to do something special to commemorate it. The April – June issue of The Vizsla News is the “Performance Edition,” so we bought the cover to celebrate our Karma! It was super fun today to get all the messages from friends who got their magazine in the mail today. Below is the cover photo and the write-up on the inside page.
All photos were by Allison Mae Photography and were from our shoot she featured on her blog!
Write-Up:
“Karma” – GCH MACH Diamond Cruiser 5280’s Reap What You Sow RE SH MXB MJG OF T2B CA CGC
“Don’t you dare look back. Just keep your eyes on me.” I said, “You’re holding back, ” She said, “Shut up and dance with me!” This [puppy] is my destiny She said, “Ooh-ooh-hoo, Shut up and dance with me.”
Karma is my once-in-a-lifetime dog, my heart, the light in each day. She loves getting to be on my team, and I’m honored to be on hers. Locally, they say Karma and I “dance” together on an agility course. We keep constant eye contact, meaning I do a lot of backwards running, and I rarely say any words to her. The Walk the Moon song, “Shut up and Dance” is our song. If I can keep her eyes on me, and my eyes on her, magic happens.
We spent a LONG time looking and waiting for this little girl. We went through 5 different litters, hoping a girl would be the pick of the litter. Getting passed over many times because even though Indy was a CH/MH we were still “new” to the breed, and breeders had previous homes come out of the woodwork once puppies were on the ground. Finally, Tad had the option of a puppy when his dog, Tok, was used at stud and he gave us his pick girl puppy. The best gift we’ve ever been given, and as they say, the rest is history.
Karma achievements in her first 6 years speak for themselves, and we could go on and on about each venue and accomplishment, but that doesn’t capture the essence of our Karma.
“A dog wags its tail with is heart” – Martin Buxbaum
One of her nicknames is Wiggles, because she seriously wags her entire back end when she sees a friend. She has the biggest heart and just LOVES people. While she is talented at many AKC games, she is privileged to be a Therapy Dog at Children’s Hospital Colorado. She loves visiting the kids, and her wiggles and squishy-smile face make even the toughest patients laugh. Karma reminds us everyday to be kind and to look for the good in people. She’s got charisma, and of course; good Karma!
