Woohoo! Cheeky earned her very first agility Q today! We took advantage of an ACT 1 test that was being offered today. ACT is a newer program; it wasn’t around when Karma was a pup. But basically, it’s super basic agility. No weaves, no teeter, and only about 12 obstacles. It’s a real-ish trial environment: crating area, leash runner, judge, timer sounds, etc. A great way to introduce a baby dog to competition!
Cheeky did SO good in her crate! No crying, she handled pre-run warm up pretty well, and she did okay in the ring! She wasn’t worried about the loud timer or table count and she was able to string together a couple obstacles at a time. We had some judge visiting and wrong courses, but she did manage a Q in one of her two runs.
Really proud of the baby. We might just be ready for Vizsla Nationals.
