What a great weekend! We are still on cloud 9 after we watched Zeke become a new Champion today! But there were many other great highlights, so we’ll start from the beginning.
Friday night, Karma and Jenny headed down to Colorado Springs for a little girl time. The C Springs Kennel Club was hosting a fun match, so we thought we would see how the girls did in the ring for the second time. Mom moved Karma a little too quickly for Judge Kelli Kujawa’s liking, but the girls still came away with a BOS in match! We lost to our friend, Keith Woestehoff, and his handsome boy, Loki, so we weren’t too disappointed. We stayed around to watch group, and were thrilled to cheer on Keith and Loki as they picked up a Group 4 in Match!
Saturday and Sunday, Karma’s brother Zeke went Winner’s Dog to finish his championship! On Sunday, when Zeke went back in for Best of Winners, the judge pulled Zeke out for BEST OF BREED! It was a thrilling moment and Jacqueline seriously caught about 3 feet of air in her cowboy boots! It was a great way to finish Zeke’s Championship and we couldn’t be happier for the Koprowskis. Karma went second in her class both days to our friend, Dave West’s girl, Jasmine. Incidentally, Jasmine went WB both days AND went BOS to Zeke on Sunday! Too cool!
After the exciting Breed win on Sunday, we headed over to the Vizsla Club of Colorado’s Summer Picnic, which was held at Kelli Kujawa’s house in Colorado Springs. The dogs had a wonderful time at the picnic, and us humans had a great time too! They had an awesome spread and lots of fun games. Indy ended up winning the sitting contest (what that boy won’t do for food)!
Then we headed back up to the Expo Center for groups. Zeke was going back in for the sporting group, and Kelli (our picnic hostess!) was on her brace of Hardy & Kimora, so we had a pretty large cheering section. The judge didn’t make a cut for Groups, but we are pretty confident Zeke would have at least made the cut 🙂 After Zeke came out of the ring, we cheered Kelli and her Vs on to a Group 2 Brace.
All in all, a pretty fun weekend 🙂
