10 years! We can hardly believe it, Indy is ten. He is in great shape, still goes on a long off leash run almost every day, and enjoys being a retiree from the show and obedience rings. We had a pretty great week celebrating his birthday.
On Thursday, Jenny took him to the vet to get a lump on his chest checked out…good news it was just a fatty tumor. Following the visit, we stopped to get one of his favorite treats — frozen yogurt!
Friday we headed up to Boulder and went on a two hour hike with our friend Fran. Fran is part of our family — she owned Indy’s uncle Merlin and now owns Wynn, who is Karma’s half-brother! We had a great hike with Fran and Wynn; Colorado is gorgeous this time of year. Totally shoulda brought a camera! Wildflowers, flowing streams, tall grass — it was perfect.
Yesterday was Indy’s actual birthday and we took it kinda easy. Marc was in an all day training and Jenny actually didn’t have anything going on, so it was a great day of reading with Indy curled up at her feet 🙂
Today we met up with Indy’s sister Bella to have a little birthday swim party! We went up to Union Rez in Longmont and the dogs (minus Cooper and Schmavitz) LOVED getting to play in the water. They happily retrieved, chased, and swam the morning away. Then it was back home for baths and then all the puppies settled in for a nice afternoon nap!
Hope everyone had a great Father’s Day!
Bella with Indy and then with Halo
All 4 Vs enjoying the swim! And Schmav staying dry on the beach!
