Our littlest pup with the biggest attitude is 11 today! Little Schmavitz is one of a kind. He totally holds his own with the Vizslas who are all at least 4 times his size. Hiking, swimming, and trotting around while the Vs work birds, he is the best fluffy companion.
Schmav had a great birtday week getting to go for a LONG ride in the car to Durango, Colorado (rides in the car are his favorite!) And while we were in Durango, he thoroughly enjoyed bossing around his pack and cousin Tybee (a Standard Poodle — or as we refer to them…Super Schmavs.)
Back in April, Jenny sold her first house down in the Springs. She took Schmav down for the final walk-through. Schmav totally remembered his first home and ran around the house and yard with a big smile on his face. After 12 years, all the trees were grown up, the landscaping had all matured, and every best (and worst) memory of that home included Schmavitz. Schmav was purchased after a bad break-up, where Jenny decided she needed a break from dating. Having a puppy to pour love and affection into was just the ticket. Locking the door for the last time was pretty bittersweet.
Jenny hopes to turn the revenue from the sale of that home into another rental, and her offer on a condo in Vail was accepted yesterday. Can’t wait for another 11 years of memories with Schamvitz, in some significantly upgraded digs 🙂
