We had another great weekend with the puppies. Zeke and Karma each picked up their third leg towards their JH titles at the High Plains Gordon Setter Club’s Hunt Test in Calhan, Colorado.
Saturday was Karma’s day to shine as she picked up her third JH leg–in a row! Karma has had very limited exposure to birds and bird work, but the day we saw it all click was at the Vizsla Club of Colorado’s “Training for JH and Beyond” clinic that was held in January. Since then, she’s been out training only two other times, so we are amazed and so proud that she was able to pick up three legs in the last two weekends! Thank you to judges Tim Bintner and Tracey Haines for giving Karma her third leg!
On Easter Sunday, Zeke and Pat were able to pick up their third leg as well! It’s really been so exciting watching the two of them blossom in the field together and we are more than impressed that they’ve picked up a leg at every hunt test they’ve entered!
Just one more leg each, and our favorite siblings will be Junior Hunters! In mom Holly’s first litter, she produced 3 Junior Hunters and we are so glad her second litter is continuing the Junior Hunter tradition.
Good work puppies! And Happy Easter!
